Thanks! Gary |
I am not a fan of the Sun rims in general. They're nice enough but I've had spoke tensioning (evenness) and trueness (seam) with many of the brands rims over the years. There's a reason that Sun rims are priced at a level less then Mavic.
My experience with the M19A11 rims is limited with only a pair built, IIRC. They didn't stand out as either real nice or bad. Sorry I can't be more jazzed about them. In the hundreds of wheels I've built over the years it's been Sun rimmed ones that disappointed me most often, WRT the build up. Andy. |
Mavic reflex would be an better choice, in your opinion?

Why not go with a wider rim like the velocity A23 or the t plus son hb14? I like to build my own wheels but there are some darn good companies building wheels out there at prices that are very competitive with what the parts would cost you. I recently bought a shimano 105/dt spoke/velocity a23 wheelset built by quality bicycle products. The build quality was first rate and the price (on sale) was pretty close to what the parts would have cost me.
