Excuse me if this question is a bit basic, but, all the reference materials I have read about lubricating the drive train only discuss lubricating the chain, never the cogs or chain rings.

My rear cassette squeaks only when I shift to the second largest cog.

I recently degreased, cleaned and relubed my chain with Pedro's Ice Wax, and degreased and brushed out the cogs and chain rings, but the squeak is still squeaking, and only in that one gear.

Do I lube that one cog, and if so, what lube should I use?

Or is there a possibly larger issue going on here?

I am riding a 27 speed Trek 1200C (Shimano 105 rear cassette) with less than 200 miles on it.

You have another issue. The cog should not be rubbing against anything to make it squeak. Assuming your chain is not worn out, the chain rollers fit snugly between the cog teeth as the chain moves around the cog.

Squeaking in the rear drivetrain is more likely to be either the chain or a dry pulley wheel on the rear derailler. Try lubing the chain with an oil based lubricant and clean and grease the pulley sleeves.

EDIT: I see now that you only have 200 miles on the bike. This leans heavily toward insufficient chain lube. Ditch the wax and try some oil. Oil well to ensure good penetration between the pins and rollers.
