Dropout Spacing on a Santa Cruz Bullit
I've got a 2003 SC Bullit, running some Hayes Mag Plus with a 6" rotor in the rear. When I put my rear wnheel in, (26" Rhyno Lite to Shimano XT disc hub, old style), and tighten the QR, the dropouts are pushed together too far that the brake IS adaptor hits the rotor. I was going to try to throw another locknut on the non drive side end of the hub axel, and hopefully that would keep the dropouts from coming in too close and keeping my rotor off the adaptor.
Would this work? Any other suggestions?
Thanks
Byron

you could go that route , i would contact santa cruz and get the correct adaptor. Have the hubs ever been serviced? all too easy to put the spacers on the wrong side of the axle when you re-assemble it . if all is fitted as per hayes instruction then the new adaptor is required, i had this problem with a customers bullit but with hope C2's. give s/c a call before you go respacing hubs and re-dishing wheels. matt

Its the right adaptor I think, just a standard 6" Hayes IS adaptor, but I will give SC a call and see what they say.
Thanks for the response
