A question on Canyon Aeroad CF SLX's seatpost(s)

Hi all,

I am trying to figure what maximal Fore position the Canyon Aeroad CF SLX's seatpost(s) allow

from the information in the site, and also from looking at recent photos (Katusha and Movistar's) I'm not sure what optional seatpost they allow in addition to the one in the original Spec. (https://www.canyon.com/_en/roadbikes/bike.html?b=3519)

I see at list one totally different post (this: https://cdn.mos.bikeradar.com/images/...cd2-700-80.jpg ) but this one does Not look like one that allows a serious FORE position

Any idea please ?

thanks!!

The only thing I have to offer is whether a far forward position is really needed/wanted. We find very few riders are best set up with far forward positions, tri bars excluded. Andy.

Thanks Andy.
It is for TT purposes.. I'm using a cervelo S that allows a dual position seatpost and I pretty much like it (having the dual)
The Aeroad slx is an aero bike, and it makes sense to allow a forward position if one wants to use it for TTs - wrong?

No, not wrong. Just my preference to not have a bike dedicated to the aero position and non group ride use. The vast majority of my customers do the vast amount of their riding (some call it training) in non competitive rides, often in clubs or groups. Until their event (race) results become their prime motivation I find an all purpose road bike to be a far better tool. I suspect you are one of the few % who really need that small added advantage to separate themselves from the really fit but not specific riders. good luck finding your sweet spot. Andy.

Hi frantona, Never rtied. I ended up buying a new cervelo S5 frameset
A carbon fiber fabricator can build such a seatpost
