Parts for a Schwinn Johnny G Spinner?

My crank case is clicking. Does anyone know where I can get parts for a Schwinn Johnny G Spinner?

Where do you live? You find an authorized dealer in your area. Generally they will do some repairs on spinners.

Yeah, most likely, you'll have to contact Schwinn. You've got the first gen bikes, and the Schwinn company still uses most of the parts on their new bikes that they had on the old Schwinn/JG bikes.

Tell me the name, year and S/N of the bike you have and I will P/M you.

If I am not mistaken that the Johnny G spinner bike was made by startrac and then johnny sold out and took the name over to Schwinn.

Is it a Startrac or a Johnny G Schwinn?

Is it a Startrac or a Johnny G Schwinn?

It's the other way around. Johnny G paired up with Schwinn back in the late 90s and produced the bike this guy's riding. When Schwinn filed for bankruptcy, Johnny G took his bike to StarTrac. After a number of legal battles between Schwinn and the new Johnny G/StarTrac, Johnny G prevailed on some points, and lost on others. But Schwinn did get to produce their own bike after the court case, and the newer Johnny G bikes from Star Trac looked similar to the old V-bikes from Star Trac, then later, the second Jen Johnny G bikes looked more like the original Johnny G Schwinn bikes.

Dood has the original Johnny G Schwinn bikes from way back. He needs to contact Schwinn and see if they still have the parts he may need. It could be the cranks or it could be the bottom bracket.

No warranty from the Johnny G Schwinn?

I see now all those legal battles are confusing over the years.

If he/she is using something that old. They should make sure the cranks are steel and not aluminum. They can break! I believe that most spin bike come with steel cranks now days.
