LOL, can't imagine how you got to this.

When someone brags about how long they've been able to do a simple task, even as a kid, then yeah, it's not much of a stretch to see that they think they're special:

I am able to put the pump head on without the nut, been doing it since 1975 when I was 13, Cenelli pumps with Campy heads. Too funny, some of you really struggle with simple tasks...

Struggling with simple tasks? I can't imagine how you got to that based on anything posted in this thread.

Gotta have a nut to pump your tyre up, that's struggling by anyone's definition. Putting me on the couch, that's silly....

When I complained to this forum about Presta tubes failing at the joint between the stem and the tube, it was suggested that I should be using the nuts. So now I use them. But as others have pointed out, they tend to multiply in dark corners of the shop, leading to a continuous supply.

Schraders have no nuts, yet nobody has a problem pumping them up.

S/V the most part they are rubber coated up the stem, and jam in the hole adequately.. as I said earlier (another thread?) Schwalbe uses a ring nut on a threaded stem.

on the Woods/Dunlop and The A/V auto valve Schrader.
