Front dérailleur for Surly Ogre?

There are so many versions. Low mount, high mount, top pull, bottom pull, 31.8, 1-1/4, etc. The only thing I'm pretty sure on is I need a top pull. Which one do I get???? Thanks!

Chain ring sizes come into play.
One for say a 22-32-44 triple will have a different radius than one for a 28-38-48.

Many come with a couple shims so they can be used on 3 different diameters of seat tubes.

Just doing a quick web search lists-
Shimano Deore FD-M616, 28.6mm. Top-pull

Yep, that's exactly what the Surly web site lists as the OEM front derailleur on the Ogre and that's matched with a Shimano crank geared 48/36/26.

What shifters? You need to match road shifters and MTB shifters to their corresponding front derailleurs.
Surly sells the bike with Shimano Deore FD-M616, 28.6mm. Top-pull front derailleur. They say 28.6mm, top-pull or Shimano high direct mount. Says it comes with the adapter, presumably for the direct mount.
I assume any 28.6mm top pull FD, matched for the shifters and the tooth count of your crank will work.

I'm building it with SRAM 2x10. Haven't decided on X9, X0 or XX yet.

A pulley(also QBP) under the FD lets a bottom pull FD work too..
