Power Meter
 

Hello,
Looking to get a stages power meter and more specifically, the SRAM RED crank arm. I currently have a SRAM APEX gruppo on the bicycle and my question is whether this crank would be compatible with what is already equipped. Or, would I need exchange the whole crankset for the rival.

The right answer probably depends on generational issues. Go o the Sram site and check for bottom bracket compatibility. The issue is the spindle diameter, and if that matches, then you're in.

I'm not sure what you're asking. Stages PM isn't available on a SRAM Red crank arm. Stages only supports aluminum arms so that limits their SRAM road support to Rival. The Rival arm will work on GXP Rival/Force/Red cranksets. I think it's compatible with current Apex cranksets, but I'm not sure about older models.

If you're asking about upgrading your Apex crankset to Red, all SRAM GXP cranksets use the same BB and are, therefore, interchangeable.

My mistake yes, it would be the Rival. I was reading about Red earlier and suppose it got stuck in my head. Hahah. Thanks for the response guys.
