junk wheel or nice find?
A couple of years ago I found this wheel laying in the street and I took it to a good home. I am wondering if it is actually worth anything or if it is junk. At first I never wanted to use it because I thought it was a tubular wheel but upon closer inspection I believe it is clincher.

105 hub with gentleman rim is a nice find, IF, the condition is good. Sure looks clean to my eyes. How's the rim's trueness, the spoke tension evenness and the hub's spin? That's the real question. Andy.

Ive gone through and checked everything. The rim is only slightly out of true. Spoke tension and hub smoothness all feels great. There is a little sign of damage on the lip of the rim, it looks like somebody rode this thing on a flat. No idea why somebody would abandon this wheel!

Shimano 105 hub on a Wolber GTX2 rim?
A very popular, smooth riding, long lasting combination back in the day.
I still have a pair of those rims on my Schwinn 754.

Shame no DB spokes, but it's prolly worth $50 or more as is. Nice wheel.
The hardox goes well with the champagne paint on the 105 hub; I have a pair of such myself.
