the only time i would wear a helmet is if i was trying something risky, like a 40 stair rail or a 360 off a roof, not a dirt jump.

If I was wearing a helmet, I probably could have avoided this two inch scar on my right temple.

The worst part is i still dont wear it all the time.

We, as in my wife and I. She rides on back of the tandem, has a mountain too, and I just got her a BMX and a full face helmet for that.

I'd probably smack my face on some trees, like I always do on this dumb unmaintained trail here. Maybe 'technical' is the word... but technical is one thing, trees scratching the hell out of you as you take a corner is another.

You could always steer it, queens. Just dont smack them into an obstacle or you lose that extra pedaling power (if they fall off), lol

You would be scared to ride on the back of ours then, especially off road. We can go a lot faster than your little BMX ever will, and in certain situations, the stability of the long wheelbase allows us to just fly. I'll point out that you need quite a bit of upper body strength to pilot one off road.

<sarcasm> helmets are teh gay. unless you are Todd Lyons and you're doing sick backflip-to-dead-sailors on a huffy carbon frame, with your dreds blowin' in the wind. then it's ok. but you have to have on some BlTCHIN sunglasses. if you don't have sunglesses than you are teh gay. </sarcasm>

A'hem...learn to spell...A'hem....

"dieing" correction: dying
"its" correction: it's

From YOUR post #11 in the "Loosening Pedals" thread: Improper use of "your". This should be replaced with the contraction "You're" meaning YOU ARE.

Thanks.

i don't know how you can die from getting two feet of air on a plastic spine. the reason i don't usually wear a helmet isn't because it's not cool. i don't give a **** about that. i feel uncomfortable while wearing it.
