Was given a BMX from a friend, is it good for beginners?

Hi everyone, I was recently given a BMX from a friend who needed the space and gave up the hobby; I was wondering what it was worth and if it's a decent bike to learn on? It weights about 35 pounds, has brakes installed.

Here are the parts:
Frame: Fit Series 2 (20.5 inches)
Wheels: Odyssey Hazard
Cranks: Primo Power Bites
Primo Gorilla Cups
Fit Stem
Primo Pedals

Unless you're going racing it sounds like a pretty good bike.

The frame is good, not sure about the rest.

If anything you can always jib around a parking lot, and build up some skills!
