Need some advice. (Rain)

Right so I live in London so the weather is always **** and rainy 24/7 this time of year. I need to get to work but I've ran out of bus money and need to ride my bike to work. I don't really want to ride it in the rain as it's an extremely expensive bike. So will it be okay to ride in the Rain? Especially my profile mini.. Will it effect the loudness and smoothness of the hub etc? That's the main bit I'm worried about.

I'd worry more about it getting Nicked, than wet.
