LOOKING FOR AN EBCo FRAME....

To the best of my knowledge they went out of business in '03, but they were by far one of the more inventive bmx frame companies of their time. (the first to introduce seatstay 990 brake mounts, the first,-and only- to use a staggered tooth chainring design for a smoother drivetrain, small tubing/dropouts, you get the point) Anyway- I'm aware they were owned by the BURLEY co-operative, they company that makes trailers for bikes, but there's no mention of EBCo on their site, or where to find their frames.

There were two frames produced, the ELF and the RELIGION. Whichever of these two had the 21.25" top tube and the 3/8" dropouts would be the frame I'm looking for. Cosmetics aren't that important to me, just as long as everything is structurally sound. I've searched long and hard for one of these, so I'm very interested in buying one NOW.

Email me if you have one.

dude good luck. i know of sombody who has an ebco coup' de tat i might be able to score for you but good luck.

kentuckychris 06-16-05 02:43 PM

Dude. Thanks for reading, and definately let me know if you can score the coup d'tat. I completely forgot about that frame. I suppose that was the longer top tubed one.

iweargirlspants 06-16-05 11:05 PM

i assume 21?

kentuckychris 06-17-05 06:18 PM

21.25.

pdxsnow 07-25-12 05:20 PM

I've got two coup de tat frames for sale actually. I believe the top tube is 20.79 though. Let me know if you are interested.

Seven. Years. You were either reading through every single page of posts, or you specifically searched for this. Why?

pdxsnow 07-30-12 09:09 AM

Oh... **** oops I didnt look at the year, I just looked at the month and thought it was recent. I had someone who wanted to buy one of my ebco frames and I wasnt sure what to ask for so I think I typed it into google to see if anyone else was selling one. Also I was just curious to see if anyone even knows about Ebco anymore. Want to buy an ebco frame?

Street rider 07-30-12 05:29 PM

Its cool, just try to remember the year from here on out. And no, I don't. Selling on the open forums is actually against the rules. We do have a marketplace off of the homepage, but that requires an upgraded membership to post in.

pdxsnow 08-06-12 03:15 PM

Ok pal, taking ourselves a little bit seriously dont you think...

Street rider 08-06-12 04:27 PM

What, me telling you that you can't sell stuff on the open forums? It can get your membership revoked and get you banned from the server. If this forum was as active as it used to be, and actually had a mod that was around more often, they would have told you the same exact thing. Besides, it was just an informative answer to let you know that someone else could take it any way they wanted, and that even an innocent little thing like that could have 'consequences'.

And I'm not your ****ing pal.

pdxsnow 08-09-12 05:13 PM

Ok buddy... your getting a little too into this. Consequences? I get the sense you are missing the point with this whole forum thing. Why don't you just chiiilll out and find something better to do with your time. smh

Street rider 08-09-12 08:39 PM

'Consequences', in quotes, meaning that you could lose membership. I'm absolutely not missing the 'point of this forum thing'. You're the one who took what I said, an informative post about the rules around here, which you probably didn't read, and was telling me that I'm a little too serious. In fact, to have the ability to actually use the forums, asking questions and learning and whatnot, sort of requires an active membership. Something that rule-breaking and getting banned will sort of restrict.

So, really, you're the one missing the point of an internet forum.

Poor knucklehead just doesn't get it. Its all about ME!!....rules don't apply to ME.

Street rider 08-10-12 02:04 PM

Exactly. I'm really concerned for this generation (even being one of its older members). And if he's older, well then thats probably one of the places where this country's degradation must have started.

pdxsnow 08-14-12 05:09 PM

Wow... You guys really are pathetic. The problem with our generation isn't people who dont take Internet forums seriously. If anything it's people like yourselves who invest too much time on meaningless Internet forums such as twitter or the one we are using now. I mean, senior members? Really? There is a reason why even the forums own admin don't patrol the forum anymore. Because it doesn't matter and it means nothing in the real world. It blows my mind that you guys care so much

Street rider 08-15-12 07:51 AM

They don't come through here because this place is dead. Every other subforum is alive and kicking. And you become a senior member at like, 100 posts or something like that. And no, you're still wrong, because the problem with the current generation is ignorant and arrogant people who don't want to believe or listen to what people are saying when they're disagreed with. I.E.? You.

pdxsnow 08-15-12 05:23 PM

Wow, like I said... Pathetic

I personally don't care. I only replied to the thread is because your shi**y attitude really rubs me wrong. Twitter? What's that?
Investing too much time in meaningless forums? Huh, seems like if you do the math, you are "investing" more time on this meaningless forum on average per month than myself. At this rate you should be a senior member in no time dumb azz.....pathetic. Of course most of my posts have been regarding questions that have brought answers from people who are here for the right reasons, riding bikes......not free for sale adds and being an A-hole.
By the way, unless you were born in the 60s we are NOT (thank God) from the same generation.
Have a nice day.

pdxsnow 08-17-12 09:58 PM

Ok, I'm sorry. Honestly I'm not sure why but sometimes when I see people acting like they have authority or are self righteous in their speech towards me I tend to get spiteful. And again, I'm sorry. I know that it came off like I have a shi tty attitude and I dont blame you for being offended by my responses. I saw you reply and I felt like you two were trying to gang up on me while I was also feeling like streetrider was behaving childishly and I instinctively reacted in an embarrassing way with the luxury of known anonymity. For the record I wasn't intentionally advertising my frame for sale and I came here through a link on google but then mentioned it as a lighthearted joke when ST responded to my post. I was put off by his better than thou reply and reacted in poor form. So if I offended you I am sorry. This conversation has been completely deconstructive and I regret the manner with which I took part.

Street rider 08-18-12 08:23 AM

All I did was reply with information, even though it may not have been a serious offer, I was just letting you know. And you flipped and got all ignorant and arrogant. I was just being informative.
