GT Mach One ID Help
Picked up a Mach One from a auction , wondering if anyone can help with ID'ing the year and place of manufacture. Im sure its a 90's model and leaning towards USA manufactured. Thanks in advance! I will also upload a not so great image from the auction site.https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...6a7f5b417b.jpg
GT Mach One Serial number was found on bottom bracket and not on dropouts as with some GTs, YC96070297 |

It's a 1996, and I'm pretty sure YC means it was made in Taiwan. In 96 the US made race models were the "Speed Series" and the "Pro Series" if that helps any.

Well price is subjective. It may have had rare parts, or that particular buyer just really wanted one. There's also a difference in years the ones from the 80's are worth a lot more.

Actually it is a 96 as well, but It did have some extras like GT pads and also was in pretty much pristine condition

Just to buy new pads can cost $150 us.

From my recollection, I dont remember pads being very common or popular on these mid 90s bikes.
That seat looks to be in good shape. I see those sell individually often for guys looking to restore their bikes. Should definitely add to the value. |
