Your first low-end BMX bike

I know all of you guys have had low end BMX bikes, What was your first? Mine was a 2001 Mongoose Hoop-D, and the frame on the pig was 9.5lbs.

Crappy mongoose rebel(70$). Stripped it and painted it primer grey. Removed all brakes and cut the bars and seatpost to lighten it. People thought it was an oldschool bike because it had MAGS

Hmmm. Never had a crappy BMX. Had the original Mongoose in 1979. Schwinn Scrambler around that time too. Then a Redline Carrera and 600A. Of course, that was more than 20 years ago...

Please explain why you would want a fuse after riding a fit S2

Man, I think my first bike was a Schwinn hand-me-down from my sister with ape-hanger bars and a banana seat.

My first 'real' bike was a 1986 Mongoose Expert racing bike (bought in 86') which I then tore half the parts off of and converted to freestyle.

My first true freestyle bike was a 86 or 87 Haro Sport which I got the following year after someone cut the lock and stole my Mongoose. I was really bummed on that, I had paid for everything on the Mongoose myself out of my own pocket.
