1.95'' or 2.10''

I am getting some new tires and I thought about getting the 2.10''. Now my old tires are 1.95'' and it looks like I have plenty of room. What is the main reason for a bigger tire? Is it just to be more stable and smooth? It looks like they might slow me down a little more. I will be using them mainly in a street?park enviornment. Thanks for the help. I guess most tubes are universal so the same tube I am using now should work.

well, i would stick with the tire that fits your rim. the bigger ones are a little slugish if you like to have them deflated a little, which you shouldnt worry about since you riding street.

i had a pair of haro multisurface raps on my bike, they were great tires, i really liked them.

Either of those tires would fit his rim, smart guy.

I usually run 1.95" front and rear, but running a 2.1" up front is pretty normal; you get more traction that way, and it makes footjams a bit easier.

Ya I just thought I would try them out. I thought they might be a bit slugish, but if it is just it for street and a park enviorment it will probably be ok. I just wanted to try something different. Will there be a noticable weight difference?

wider tires = better traction but higher rolling resistance and typically poorer pivoting. The difference is pretty minimal.
