Robertson Racing
Ever heard of Robertson Racing ?
This BMX bike was donated to the Bike Exchange the other day. I stripped off all the funky decals and took out the bottom bracket bearings and cleaned them. de rusted all the chrome, put new tires on it and new brake cables. I have been told it is something special. My area of expertise is bike boom 10 speeds. I don't really know much about BMX. Anyone like to comment on this bike.

Was waiting for someone with more knowledge to respond.
Don’t know about that particular brand. I would say based on the 1 1/8 headset, 3 piece cranks, and it not coming with a kickstand that it’s a serious piece of kit. Probably double wall rims?

ROBINSON not Robertson. Definitely a real race bike. They were popular 15-20 years ago, not sure if they're worth anything now. I'm sure someone will post w/ better info.

the bike is from 1995-98 give or take. the hubs are gt mohawk. crankset looks to be gt or robinson stamped profile cranks. bars look replaced by haro kneesavers. easy 3-400 as it sits.

Our shop manager used to run a mountain bike magazine. He has a contact that will buy bikes like that one in any condition. This one went for $400. I'm not much of a bmx guy or mtn bikes for that matter but I have restored quite a few over the last year. finished a 1983 Stump Jumper last week and just buttoned up a red Jamis Diablo today The Stumpy was a pig at 32 lb next to the25 lb Jamis. The Ritchey p22 is the weight weenie champ at about 23 lb. as built.
