I won a bike once. Enterred when I was visiting the East Coast and lived on the West Coast. It was 3 months before they gave it away.
Come Christmas my family gives me this Mt. Bike and I'm like "Umm... yeah... Thanks...?" They just gave me the 'winning ticket' which was one of those 'Keep this ticket' stubs like you have at school carnivals. I totally forgot about the contest from 3 months before.
My family kept looking at me like I was an idiot. They thought I had enterred the contest like 3 days before hand. They didn't know 3 months had gone by.
The bike shop let me trade in the $250.00 mt. bike on a new Haro and my Dad covered the rest of the price (thanks dad!). That was like 15 years ago.
