Foul Language

Hey Guys,

Just a friendly and respectful request to some of you that you please do your best not to use such violent, abusive, and blasphemous words and syggestions in your posts. It makes it really hard for some of us to read your questions, and I know for myself, at least, it makes me less inclined to help out.

There are enough people who seem to be up in arms against BMXers, so why do we need to berate eachother?

Please try it guys.

Many thanks

JMC

Um, ok. I guess we'll need a list of approved words/insults.

I'm not sure if you're a Christian or not but I am assuming you are and one thing you should know is that it is not a positive witness to tell people to conform to your way of thinking if you do not have the same beliefs. It might make you feel better about yourself to not curse because you are a Christian, but please don't make other people do it too, you have no right. I'm sorry if it sounds like I am ranting but I really get upset when people misrepresent what it is to be a Christian. Theres my .02

Some people want to read these posts at work and profanity can cause the system to block access or get people in trouble for viewing inappropriate content.

That's bull****. As you can see, the ****ing system already blocks out my foul ****ing language so unless some ****bagger at your company is doing personal research and following you to every ****ing page you visit, the **** won't show up on a script intended to **** you over by searching pages for particularly ****ty words.

There is only ONE rule of netiquette: respect and adhere to the context of the group. Violaters will be burninated at the group's discretion...just as they always have been since I started playing this game in 1992 from a 4800 baud dialing up to a local BBS.

Clearly the group at large finds the use of colorful, edgy and hip verbiage like 'cocksocket' and 'chocolate thief' in addition to system-censored profanity more or less acceptable. If we have to resort to repetetively impotence like 'muppet' and 'nosepicker' I will *personally* have you burninated.

Indeed. And here's a puzzle for Mr. Sanzzy, or anyone else that can figure it out. What does these 3 have in common?

Sydney, Mr. Cheney, Mr. Nixon.
