well ive already been off a bmx bike way to long and i probably wont be able to afford a new bike for another 3-5 weeks (thats what happens when u work for $7 an hour part time). well i just worried that i gunna suck at biking by the time i get back on a bike. i just had manuals dialed in perfectly b4 my bike broke i gunna be so mad if i cant do them any more.

i just dont want to waste my money on a bike n not be able to do n e thin.

i no most of u dont want to read this, but i need to vent, i gunna go insane, w/o a bike i got nothin to do.

I dont work and never have. You can get a bugdet bike.. Thats pretty lame. it really is. If you had manuals dialed "perfect" you'll still be able to do them. If you have that kind of attitude, then dont ride. If you dont have fun dont ride. It's really lame to worry about what you can and cant do. I stopped riding for 6 months and I went down in skill quite a bit, but im having more fun than ever and who cares what i can and cant do... dont ride, no one wants you to with that attitude.

I won't discuss my income, but it's a bit more than $7/hr. When I race, I always come in last. Sometimes I'm 2nd to last. Once, 3 of us crashed, and I nearly came in 3rd. I think I've had one 3rd place in all of my races. But I don't care, because I'm just out there to have fun with a bunch of other guys my age. Some of them race because they were bored with watching their kids race, so they got into it. But it's still just about having fun. If it's not fun, then don't bother. And 3-5 weeks is not a long time. Hopefully, working for your money, and having to save for a while will teach you a few things about money matters. Learn the value of a dollar, and the importance of saving. Maybe when you grow up, you won't fall into the credit trap.

Hang in there, even if you do suck.

Cheers.

i wish i made $7. i make $5.15, yeah, below minimum wage. just watch a bunch of biking videos to get some ideas of stuff to work on and to psyche you up about riding. you'll never be able to do anything if you dont ride and push yourself to do something you didnt think you could do.

Its ok if you forget about bmx then come back. Tons of people are forced to do it every winter.

Shhh. I'm trying not to think about that. If I took the winter off racing here, can you imagine what Utah will be like?

I stopped riding for a couple years, I was (for my age) one of the best in my town. And now I just got back on a bmx again this past month, I wasnt that good in the beggining but i'm starting to remember how to do most of the stuff and I am getting better alot quicker. Today I did my first handrail in over four years, if your dialed in on something you should be able to do it again with little to no practice.

Don't give up. If you give up on yourself, you will one day look back and regret that you had quit. Stay strong and keep riding.

just quit. just kidding. i took 2 years off cuz of the army... now i am back to riding (with a full time job too). it only takes a little bit of practice to get back to where you were. isnt that the fun of riding anyways? learning, progressing, riding... just ride when you can.

well if your just worrying about sucking than quit. theres no point in riding JUST to be good. do us a break and stop whining. if you dont like the sport quit and if you do like it dont quit. dont let money make a difference in the decision,

I do it all the time. I live like 5 miles away from where all my friend that I ride with. And its been pretty bad out lately. 50 degress, and miserable rain for the past 2 weeks. I've got a cold from riding in this sh*t. I'll suck it up, and keep on going. I can't wait til winter though. Riding in a Nor Easter, roads slick as a b*tch, with all my friends. I love winter riding though. Ex you should try to take your cruiser out on ice and race, it's crazy. But im lucky Got me a set of Maxxis Max Daddies, I should be fine.

I have a set of Maxx Daddy's for my cruiser, but we don't get much ice in this part of Australia, and winter is over.

forget quiting bmx.

ive been helpin my friends revive our trails and make them better than they were last yr when we used to use them. so this has been makin me want to ride more and more.

so with school, work, and digging i havent had much time to be stuck doin nothin so its keepin me from gettin to bored.

ill probably be more into trails now then anythin else now becuase the nearest park is a 15mile bike ride (which isnt bad) but my jumps are only 100-150ft away, and the street riding around here sucks.

sometime after thursday(which is the day i get paid) im ordering my new bike, and im picking it up the following week after i get paid and can afford to finish paying the price. (i have to pay 1/2 upfront for him to order the bike, i could pay the half now but i dont want my bike sitting in a shop for 2 weeks)

i'm not in the mood to get pissed at you, so i'll give you some advice.

wot bike r u gettin? needs to be changed to What bike are you getting? at least you made it semi-comprehendable and used a question mark.

if you look above your username, it says the date of your post. if nobody posts on a thread for a week, don't post.
