Little rant about, "they all suck" responses

I can't believe people make such generalized statments of facts. "I had a friend with a _____ and he had problems with it, so every model ever made from them must all be junk".

I think statements like this are unfair at least. It's my opinion that remarks like "they are all junk" are more credible if at least you had one. Even then to classify a whole company is pretty harsh. I play guitar, and it's the same with guitar players. "Don't buy an Ibanez, they suck" Usually made by a player that sucks, or someone who has been told they suck by a "friend". They don't by the way.

Well, my little rant is now over.

BMX is a sport filled with mindless brand loyalty, anecdotal evidence and a general lack of experience or functional knowledge. Where the best is determined not by facts but by what circumstances have dictated you ride. E.g:

"Get an S&M I ride it I love it it's the best."

This is what I'm talking about. '3' is hardly a viable sample and 'suck' is pretty meaningless in terms of feedback. Why do they suck? Poorly welded frames? Low quality materials? Low-end components? No, no...the stickers just weren't hip enough.
