Bundled or single?
OK - So I know **SQUAT** about BMX... But as parts of other lots of stuff I've bought on e-Bay, I've accumulated a pile of BMX parts - forks, seats, seatposts, pedals, stems, etc.
Would I get more selling my BMX stash on e-Bay as a single lot (with duplicate parts on many of the items), or selling the items singly? For road bike stuff, singly is the way to go, but I'm not sure about BMX. What say y'all? |
selling stuff seperately has worked for me on ebay. if you have a bunch of duplicate stuff you could probably sell a few "parts packages". usually people dont want more than one of something because they wouldnt need the extra.

Try selling them as parts packages, with a fe that are single. But I would most likely buy a parts package basiccally because I would get more parts, ya never know when you might need them.

Well, obviously some things should be sold as a package...like you probably wouldn't get much selling crank arms, spindle and bearings separately. Selling RELATED parts as a package is typically an easier sell, but you won't get as much for the stuff.

The market for used BMX parts belongs mostly to kids. Kids with sometimes limited budgets. Best to group related things into packages as Snazzy says, but keep everything else separate to keep individual prices down. You can always combine things for a shipping discount.
Example: You have a bar and stem. Most guys are looking for one or the other, not both. You may only get $20 because someone wants one or the other. But others may be willing to pay $15 for each item by itself. |
