Building a K2, have ?'s

I'm building a bike based on this:

1 A&B) Since it has V-brake mounts on the rear, can I mount any V-brake? I was eyeballing the Shimano M-960 but it's intended use is MTB. Or do I have to buy a BMX specific V-brake?

2) Can I use a MTB stem? I have a 120mm Kalloy stem. I'm 6'0" tall, thus need the room.

3) I need a laid back seat post...got any suggestions?

4 A&B) Cranks...are fine or course or square spindles best? Being 200lbs...do I need a titanium spindle?

5) Are Redline Forklifter handlebars any good?

6) Are NoMor Flats foam tubes any good?

Thanks in advance for any answers...

I wouldn't touch that thing with a ten-foot pole, much less put any serious cash into it.

What's your goal for this bike? And what's your motivation?

1st...what's wrong with it?

2nd...mostly street. Some jumping (on/off road). Some trails. No skateparks.

1 A&B) Any V brake will work. The cheapest one will still lock that wheel right up.

2) You'll want a DH strong stem, unless you have a good dental plan

3) Get a frame that fits. You shouldn't be sitting down anyway.

4 A&B) 3 piece cranks with a splined spindle. You need a titanium spindle like Beerman needs a tutu.

5) As long as your bars are cro-mo, they'll do the job

6) Use regular tubes, learn to fix a flat.

I fixed many-a-flat in my days.

The bars I mentioned are aluminum.

I'll get a more adequate stem. Rather than what I took off my broken MTB.

The frame is rather large, but then, so am I.

That's a race bike, not something to want to be riding street and dirt on, especially being 200 lbs.

And, that bike is made to be light and fast, not to withstand heavy impacts and hard landings

Lets take this back to the discussion at hand. Dont ride that race bike on dirt/street. Buy a new bike.

The fact that they're the most overrated "metal" band of the last decade? There's nothing more sickening than hearing idiots walking out of Hot Topic comparing them to the likes of Megadeth or Iron Maiden.

You've never heard of Megadeath? [smacks forehead] Have you ever heard of a band called "Metallica"?

Back on topic. Unless that bike was free, or close to free, it's a waste of time and money. A lightweight race frame is not going to last long for any kind of street riding. Especially if it's already seen a few races.

It's pretty much a proven fact that Megadeth is totally awesome just by the name, which is a combination of a "mega" and "death". Holocaust to the max, can you dig it?
