learning flatland...

I'm looking for some good instructional videos, something that teaches flatland riding basics, etc.. I don't know anyone around me that rides, so I need to learn on my own. Does anyone know what are the best tutorials out there? (something on dvd would be nice). Do any of the pros have anything good out there...?

Get used to riding alone. I love riding flatland but people to ride with are few and far between.

There are a few flatlanders up here who ride at the basketball court next to our little park.

I need to tell someone who will see this so i posted it here...I have a new trick, its a combo trick you start out doing a tailwhip then when the bike gets to your right side spin your body with your left foot on the front peg to the left so that the front tire is straight with the back of the bike and put your right hand on the seat with your left still on the handel bar grip and push the front tire with your right foot to get going and ride it like this as long as you can... i have never been able to get back to the seat from this trick i just get off and turn the bars back around and get back on.

have fun trying this trick

Thats not a steamroller. A steamroller is when your standing on the pegs rolling forwards and the frame is kicked out to your side and your holding the backwheel in the air while you role. The trick you said sounds like a tailwhip into a firehydrant.

You're right, what he's talking about isn't a steamroller; judging by the picture he put up in one of his other threads, his back wheel is rolling on the ground. What you call a steamroller, though, is a hitchhiker (assuming that I'm reading what you stated correctly).

I meen a steamroller. I just can't explain anything. I don't know why i said the back end of the bike should be kicked out to your side.
