BMX Bikes for tall riders?
Quick question; are there BMX bikes made for tall riders? My son is interested in doing some training on our local BMX track, but at 6'4" I wonder if he is too tall for a stock bike. Any help would be appreciated.

There are plenty of 'cruisers', with 24" wheels and slightly longer top tubes. One of those might fit well. I ride one and I'm only 5'11, and it's a good size, but a little big to do certain things on.

If he wants a 20" BMX thats for racing then maybe one of the FMF's or if he is just looking to jump and have fun at the track the either a DK Four Pack, Six Pack or maybe a Fit Complete...
If hes looking for a 24" then you should definatley look into the DK General Lee 24" its got some nice parts and its fairly cheap...
If you post a price range that may help us help you out more...

if he`s determined to ride on 20inch wheels it is possible to get bmxs with a longer top tube
.Also don`t worry too much about it as being tall can sometimes have advantages when doing certain manouvers and you soon adapt to the bike

Eshays, replying to yourself now?
Metal Cowboy,
I recommend the Macneil 22". I'm 6'2" and I love mine. It took a bit of getting used to, but now that I'm comfortable with it, I can't fathom how I ever rode a smaller frame.

2) Last I checked, A cruiser was a type of BMX.
3) How are they a piano (I _THINK_ thats what you were going for) in the ass in the parks?
4) They look like a bmx, just bigger. How can they be so ugly when they're so basic.

just go for something with a longer top tube..maybe 21.75" or even 22". if the frame doesn't fit, you can get an xxl stem that will lengthen the front end out a bit

There are no definites with longer frames, I knew a dude who was 6'5" and he rode a 21", I'm 6'1" and I ride a 20.625. Try some different bikes and don't be afraid to move the bars forward a bit if it's just pedaling room he needs.

You suck at being analytical.
Dont be afraid to use a dictionary to find out what that big word means.
