What I've decided to do is yard work, house chores, in exchange for some money, and save up like $300 and buy one of those danscomp parts packages. And put the parts on the performer frame.

And how did the girl with the hot pink mountain bike get home? You are troll scum, and I really wish people would stop feeding you. If this story is remotely true, I will call my friend in the Police Department in the neighboring town and see if I can ensure they prosecute you to the fullest extent of the law.

Don't steal. EVER! I can't believe that anyone would EVER take something. Anyone that steals is on the lowest level of the scum of the world. I'd but thieves on the level of ******, molestors, and tree huggin enviromentalist.

wethepeople 03-31-06 08:57 PM

I hope they keep you're bike.

I never "get" the raging animosity towards environmentalists (which by the way is a strictly American phenomenon - you don't hear it in any other country). Aren't you an environmentalist, ie. someone who doesn't want the environment to be destroyed? After all, I assume that beautiful kid is always going to need to breathe and drink.
And as for tree hugging, "...out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight..."

CMcMahon 04-01-06 12:33 AM

People who hate environmentalists are, as I'd say, morons. People who hate environmentalists and claim to be Christians (while at the same supporting our wars) are, likewise, morons.

hopefully not, people like him are the reason why i need to constantly watch my bike when i stop at a store or pull stuff on you and tell you to hand over your bike. one less BMXer with sticky fingers is a good thing if you ask me.

There is a difference between responsible 'enviromentalist' and wacko tree huggin nuts. Don get the idea that I wan to destroy the enviroment. Thats a huge leap. But the nuts jobs that think a dirt bike rut on the side of a hill should cause a whole selction of land to be shut down to dirt bikers under penaltly of law are out of their minds. It's happend. Also closing horse trails, mountian bike trails, not alowing farmers to do what they want with the land they own and pay for. Private property in America is an allusion. Public property is an allusion. It's all controlled by a few nut wacko tree huggin freaks. The stories are many. Thankfully since I left the Soviet Republic of California and moved to Pennsylvania, it's a few years slower out here. I have riddin my dirt bike along the power lines, you can still rides horse alot of places. But the hunters did manage to get the game land shut off to horses. Which makes no sense. Millions of acres of wooded land, used for a few moths a year by guys who hide in tree to shoot something. Enviromentalism is a religion in America. The responsible are seen as nothing by the wack jobs. The 'tree huggers' would rather see humans extinct. The frustration on my part comes from someone who is completly out of control, the 'tree huggers' have to the control they do in shutting down land used responsibly by the rest of us. Here's a true but unbeleivable story. A few years ago, there was some huge forest fire raging across the midwest. A contractor offered to take some bulldozers out there to cut a fire break. They enviromentalist said no. Then he offerered to replant any trees that he removed in order to stop the fire, that was destroying trees. They said no. There are more crazy stories like that. You can insult me all you want. Makes no differnce to me, I place no weight on what anyone of you thinks. Really. Especially if you try to defend the tree huggers.

Well, enough of that.

So what other countries have you lived in? Because the Greens Party in Australia is pretty damn big. Ever hear of a band called Midnight Oil? They've only been around for about 20 years, and have a huge following with environmental-minded Australians. Or have you wondered why the US ships so many of our forests off to Japan? It's because the Japanese are smart enough to know that it's wrong to cut down trees. It's not a "Strictly American phenomenon".

This thread has taken an interesting turn, but I'll leave it here as long as you guys don't start with too many personal attacks.

Yeah prosecute a 14 yr old, with no prior criminal record to the fullest extent of the law, sounds really smart. Im sure everyone that has made a bad decision, and got caught should have the same treatment. Anyone who knows people that have been through the legal system knows, most of the time it makes the person worse. Im just gonna stop right here. Oh, and by the way, for the past week i've been working my ass off doing yardwork, to try and earn the money to build a bike.

I should find out who you do yardwork for and make sure they keep all their valuables locked away.

FireTeamCharlie 04-01-06 01:24 PM

Yeah, like im gonna steal valuables from my own house. You really are an ****ing moron.

mude 04-01-06 01:45 PM

Wouldn't surprise anyone. And did you ever hear the one about a pot and a kettle?

Tell you what, if you don't want to remain kicking boy #1 around here, this is what you should do:

1. Write a letter of apology to the bike store owner, explaining you're a stupid kid and you're sorry for what you've done. Not just sorry you got caught, but truly sorry for giving in to selfish temptation at other's expense.

2. Offer to work around the shop for a whole day for free, in order to show that you mean to repay your debt to society. And I don't mean $9 for grips. I mean all the time and trouble you're putting the shop owner, the police, the court system and the Taxpayers of your jurisdiction through. That's a whole day, gratis, of sweeping the sidewalk, washing the windows and whatever other crappy jobs they want you to do. And do it all day with a smile on your closed mouth.

3. Never, ever steal anything again, regardless of the justification in your little mind. Pink bike, gumball, diamond ring... the pricetag matters not. The first step to developing a personal value system is to understand the concept of personal property. What's mine is mine, what's yours is yours. That's why you should lose your bike -- to reinforce that being on the receiving end sucks.

4. Stop trolling to try to get Beerman or Expat or whomever to flare up. Lurk for a while, and add something only when you can useful or helpful, or if you have a legitimate question you want help with.

Don't wanna do this stuff? Don't expect us to ever give a tinker's damn about you or your "troubles".

My $.02.

-Paul

I think that in the most polite way, you slaughtered the joke.

Brian 04-02-06 10:06 AM

Paul, thanks for that. He's 14 though, and probably knows everything already.

Mude and FTC, if I see **** one more time from either of you, we'll start with a 48 hour ban, and go from there. I've handed out plenty of warnings lately, and they seem to have been ignored. Banning seems to get attention though.

Thanks,

We probably all have different opinions about the enviroment, and that's cool. That's what voting is for. But I'm sure we're all on the same page regarding stealing. What ever you want, just pay for it. It's not that hard to earn a few hundred bucks. And you don't get in trouble.
