so can sum1 help me?

eightdip 04-15-06 03:34 AM

no way, unless your 6 years old in which you shouldnt be on this forum
If you want a light front end, the haro nyquist R1 (without its front brake especially) has a really light front end.

MoneyMaker 04-15-06 03:50 AM

ok.....thanks fo yur input any1 else?
im also lookin at diamondback bmx bikes how r they?

MoneyMaker 04-15-06 03:51 AM

http://harobikes.com/bmx/nyquist1.php
do you mean this bike?

eightdip 04-15-06 03:54 AM

no, not really, i meant the 2005 version
dont get a diamonback, they are heavy and arent bulid well in the fact that spokes fall out when your riding, cranks break after a month etc..

MoneyMaker 04-15-06 03:56 AM

what the diffrence between tha 06 n tha 05?

eightdip 04-15-06 03:59 AM

well the 05 has a smaller sprocket and freewheel combination which is always good, im pretty sure its lighter, it looks better and seems in all a better bike really

eightdip 04-15-06 03:59 AM

and itll be cheaper

MoneyMaker 04-15-06 04:00 AM

ok thanks man :)

eightdip 04-15-06 04:01 AM

tis ok

MoneyMaker 04-15-06 04:05 AM

but its 30 lbs and tha six teen is onlt 25?

KinetikBiker 04-15-06 05:44 AM

Dont worry about weight.

Jesus, youll get used to it, and most stock bikes arent going to be like 23 pounds.

For a stock bike 30-35 pounds is fine. Especially considereing your going to break every part on it eventually (if you actually get into riding) and then you can get lighter parts. Also you dont want the lightest parts especially when your learning becuase your not going to ride very smooth.

eightdip 04-15-06 05:59 AM

anyways as i said before, youd have to be 4 foot to ride the 16 inchers. are you 4 foot?

Hes right, just get the 20" and stop being a baby about weight.

Even 35 pounds for a stock bike isnt that bad, becuase pegs weight almost a pound a peice and you can cut your bars and seatpost, take off front brakes and do several other things to lighten your new ride up.

Most Haros are around 30-33 anyways....

eightdip 04-15-06 06:03 AM

ive got a haro mirra 540 and that was pretty heavy at first but its only a bike to get you started and you can always change anything you don't like

Exactly, i had a Backtrail X3 and i lightened it up and now shes only 29 or 30 pounds, and once i put my new S3 frame on my baby will be like 28. (even though then i would technecally not be riding a Haro anymore...)

MoneyMaker 04-15-06 10:57 AM

thanks again
and yea yur right
as long as tha front end is light enough i dont care wat tha rest of tha bike ways

MoneyMaker 04-15-06 11:01 AM

but if i wanted 2 make it lighter what would i get new handle bars or would i go straight for the fork
and i am short on money
and i probably wont brake anything (quickly) but lets say i got bored and wanted 2 upgrade?

Brian 04-15-06 11:15 AM

As a reminder, this is not AOL. Please spell things out in proper English.

Thanks.

Dont worry about weight or gettin new parts until the old ones break, then worry about new parts and the new parts being light....

And like Expat said, talk in ENGLISH.
