why no front brake?

i havent had a bmx in years now and was thinking about getting back into it. when i started looking at
bmx's to buy i noticed that so many didn't have front brakes.

SO MY QUESTION IS: why do so many bmx bikes not come with front brakes?

p.s. my first bike was a free agent air strike

Becuase most people dont do front brake tricks, and the back brake is more popularly used to stop so they take it off.

You also run a heavy Redline frame, a seatpost as long as a baseball bat, and a motorcycle chain.

In other words: no one cares what you run, because it's not 1997 anymore.

1) So what? I built it the way I wanted it.

2) I'm way past the age of giving a flying **** what others like. Especially you.

3) Good to see you speak for everyone else. Let's all just stop posting & let beerbeeotch type to himself.

Heavy is no problem when you weight 220. It's a good idea in fact! 5lb frames wouldn't last too long under my weight.

Good for you pal.

I wouldn't feel confortable with a flyweight frame under me. Comfort = priceless.

I have front brakes.

I've seen kids do all the tricks I can do without brakes though. why run them when you don't need them?

I'm too old school to run without front brakes. I still like tricks like bar endos, miami hoppers and the like that all use front brakes.

I mostly took my front brake off cuz everyone else does. I do like it better now because your bike is that much more simple and I never used my front brake anyway. My front brake actually confused me sometimes when I dirt jumped. I'd be like in the air thinking, hmmmmm, should I use my front brake today or my back.

well if your like me you need a good front brake if your flatland unless you can footjam but thats hard to do
but most flandlanders take off there back brake since you dont need it as much as a front

Footjams are not "hard to do", and you won't ever see flatlanders doing them.

I'm sorry that I don't meet up to your expectations. On a sidenote, did yo uactually read my post prior to responding? I don't see how "seems alot here run front brakes" is even remotely relevant to what you quoted.

stop pretending you know what your talking about.
both your posts contradict each other.

1. footjams are easy
2. how many flatlanders have you seen do a footjam
3. the reason you wont see flatlanders doing them is because flatlanders enjoy doing the hardest tricks and progressing because it takes sooooooooooo much patience (sp)
4. read the rules, cursing, in any form, is prohibited
5. i think every post you made has contradicted each other...EVERY POST...not just this thread

you might want to remove your front brake beacause alot of tricks dont invlove a front brake, some dont even use a back brake, but old skool riders prefer both brakes, i am in the middle of removing the front brake off of my bike

People dont use the front brake because u dont really need it and some people take it off because they say it makes the bike lighter
