Starter Bike Under $250
I just started biking and I need a cheap bike. I wanted the paydirt but people say it sucks. Anyone got anything else?

what style of riding are you going to be doing? If it is dirt, I would recommend the GT Mach 1 pro, or the DK General Lee. If you are doing street, I would recommend the DK six pack, or eight pack, or Fuse 2. If you are gonna do both, I would probably go with the six pack.

I'm just looking to do some street right now and maybe dirt later because I'm still getting used to riding since I used to skate. The Six pack is #300 so thats out and I was wondering is chromoly is that much beter than steel for just starting out with street. Im not planning on huge jumps or anything, Just hitting ledges.

There is no such thing as a 5-Pack, that would be 2 jumps and then a lip with no lander, thats kinda of dumb. Unless your still building the trails. (the point is its the 6-Pack not the 5-pack.)
