they do use pedal pressure...trust me. you want proof? Take off your chain and go ride some park. Point proven.

The cranks move on tailwhips, for one. I'm sure the rest could be done without a chain with the right terrain, but I can't even do most of them with a chain. All I tried was a footjam tailwhip, which I can't land anyway.

Someone should ride..with no brakes....no pegs....no chain....no sprocket....and a front wheel used for a rear wheel.

That would be laaaaame as hell.

I should try it soemtime...

Ohh yeah, no bar ends either.

Give me a front wheel and I'll do it. I have absolutely no spare 20" parts around.

Didn't Beerman say he knew someone who did that? But they put pegs in their bottom bracket.

A really strange and pretty pointless experience in my opinion... you are never going to have to do that, ever..

I rolled up the bank there and rolled back out, the first time I just jumped off the back. The next time I tried to half cab out, and ate **** pretty well. Turns out I use pedal pressure a whole lot for half cabs, and when there's no hub to hook up, I smack into the bars and flip over.

I got a little better at it, not nearly as smooth as with the chain yet, but it's fun as hell to just roll along the road backwards without having any way of slowing down, and not having to backpedal.

Try it if you haven't.

Man I dont know how many times my chain has slipped and ive biffed it.

How many times have you??

Checked to make sure your axel bolts are tight?
Make sure your chain dosn't need a link or two taken out?
Check to make sure your sprocekt isn't bent, or teeth are damaged?
Checked to make sure your back wheel is aligned?
Made sure it's not new chain time?

It's strange that a bunch of people who ride little bikes around for fun can't see the attraction of trying something different, also for fun.
