Chainless
I decided to take my chain off today, and see how I liked riding without it.
The spot I ride at is about half a mile from home, so it took a while to push with my foot to get there, but it wasn't too bad. I rolled up the bank there and rolled back out, the first time I just jumped off the back. The next time I tried to half cab out, and ate **** pretty well. Turns out I use pedal pressure a whole lot for half cabs, and when there's no hub to hook up, I smack into the bars and flip over.
I got a little better at it, not nearly as smooth as with the chain yet, but it's fun as hell to just roll along the road backwards without having any way of slowing down, and not having to backpedal.
Try it if you haven't.

That would be scary on a big bike.
I might ride the park tomorrow without the chain, I already can't do much so I might as well give it a shot. But I should finish with my bike, I felt like modding it today so I started to sand off the paint and saw off the brake mounts, just because. I might either clear coat it or paint it a different color, because if you just leave it unpainted it starts to rust in a few weeks doesn't it?

It's a challenge, and for ****s and kicks it's fun.
I broke my chain at the park and said **** it, I can still hit the same lines so I rode without it and tried it a few more times.

I snapped my chain tonight so I'm chainless too but not by choice. I developed a nice healthy limp afterward so was in no mood to ride but I just might go try it tommorow just for the h*ll of it.

Nice.
I rode street chainless today, partly because I lost a piece from my master link. I might buy a new chain, since mine was kind of smashed up anyway. I couldn't ride some stuff due to not enough speed, and it sure wears you out pushing up hills.

You don't really need a master link. Just break the chain together. I did that when i bought my new chain. I did it for the hell of it.

It won't fit unless I grind the dropouts out more, which I might do anyway. Or get a half link or something.

Riding without a chain doesn't make a trick harder? If you're at a park you really don't even need to pedal? It mostly just sucks getting from place to place.

It makes a few harder...like 5 taps, for example.

okay, how does no chain make barspins, tailwhips, turndowns, tables, one eighties, threes, five fourties, footjams, rails, ledges or any trick (that obviously doesnt use pedal pressure) harder? give me evidence. somebody prove this to me? dont say "go try it" because I have, and its not any different.
