bmx racing
I am interested in racing bmx. Could i efficiantly raced competitivley with a haro backtrailx4? And if so how do you train for bmx racing?
Due to the fact that an x4 does not exist... no. The x3 is decent, but not for racing.

haha, tough luck

You train for it by doing it all the time, for one... the Haro is a little heavy, but it won't really hold you back that much. Ditch the pegs, cut the seatpost to 3 inches and slam the seat, trim the axles down, get a straight cable and cut the steertube down, if it has a front brake take it off. All the usual things to make it lighter...
and cut big giant holes in your frame...dont worry, ITS TOTALLY SAFE!
Aha. Sounds like a frame I know...
Eastern is going to be using the seattube from the Grim Reaper (holes in both sides) on their Element, Jane and AOS models for 2007. I actually don't see anything wrong with that, it's progression, and it's not really a critical place for strength of the frame.

not a big fan of it

save two ounces.. sacrifice a lot of strength.. not worth it
Acctually you'd sacrifice almost no strength, and I'm sure there is ways around the rust part. #1 don't let your bike get wet.
I wouldn't really call making holes in your frame, no matter where it is, as not sacrificing that much strength.

I thought they slammed them to get them out of the way, guess it's preference.

My X3 weighs (stock) about 7 pounds more than my 24" Haro. Hardly a good choice for racing. But a great choice if you crash a lot.
