Looking to buy a BMX

Hi I have a nice cruiser and I want a nice not to expencive BMX bike. I like my friends BMX bike; its not painted, has twice the amount of spokes, and instead of footbrakes it has handbrakes. Can someone direct me to buy a nice probably used bike. Preferrably with pegs. I love doing tricks but the sissy bar on my old 20" keeps messing everything up.

Thanks in advance,
maximan1

I just bought a used bike that is probably 6-7 years old. I got it for $150 without pegs. I had to turn around and stick new tires on it also. Not sure if your going to be able to get much for $50-$100. But keep an eye on your local Craigslist and you may get lucky, that's where I found mine.

Do you want a decent bike, or one for $50-100?

I said used not new. It depends on how much a "decent bike" costs.

depends what you call a decent bike. but you will struggle to get a functional bike for 50-100 dollars. paying money like that maybe look for a haro or mongoose.

I have a 5 year old or so Haro, with pegs and rotator brake. The wheels are shot and there is a bit of rust. I figure $70 as is, but you would have to come up with wheels. I just saw a bike at the AMVETS second hand store. It had good wheels, but the seat tube was shot.

Sounds like you are more into tricks than racing, so this type of thing might be ok.

It looks something like this--
