what the heck happened to my handlebars?

I was practicing bunnyhops and all of the sudden something didn't feel right. I looked at my bars and they were all of the sudden forward all the way. Can anyone tell me what happened or how to get them back up vertical? (I tried pulling them back up but it is very firm). Thanks for the help.

Okay, you can upload pictures, but cannot figure out how to operate a stem?

loosen off the 4 allen bolts on the front of the stem (they're either 6mm or 1/4".. be sure to use the right size).. then move your bars back to their proper position, and retighten the 4 bolts evenly.

Good lord.
Holy Hell.

Loosen the bolts a bit, put them back where you like them ,then tighten the bolts alot, and have someone thats stronger than you tighten them too, if you can.

And if it keeps happening get a new stem, like a S&M redneck xlt.

My stem never slips anymore, since i got a Redneck...

nah, get the Odyssey Elementary, but to make sure you have it tight enough use a 3foot pipe over the allen key and lay on it.

They look soo ugly though.

I like the XLT's and Fit stems, they are light, but still look clean.

Odyssey elementary stems are not beautiful.
They may be very cool and "innovative" but i wouldnt get one on my bike.

S&M stems for me.

I though the elementary was ugly at first, but now I prefer the look of it over any other stems out.

Remove the faceplate from your stem. Clean the bars at the clamping surface, as well as the clamping surfaces of the stem, then lightly scuff with some sandpaper. Wipe with a dry rag, then put it back together, tightening all bolts equally.

To the guy that suggested a hammer, I hope you were joking.
