Hey, I am going to buy my first bmx shortly and am stuck on a few different models. I was looking at:
-We The people dare devil
-Nirve sensor
-hoffman ep

I will mostly be riding around, doing so small grinds, steps and flatland. I may show up to the skatepart cause i would really like to do that. I am mostly looking at the Nirve Sensor. What do you people think of it?

I agree if you are looking at the Hoffman Ep Team, the other rigs don't even compare.

Hmmm... So i will scratch out the nirve, and add a new bike in... The volume mexican

Remember, its not just whats the best bike but whats the best value for the money.

I went to my local store (well not local, the best bike shop is 45 minutes away) and they didnt have the daredevil in. When I asked about ordering it the guy did not know. He said he didnt think so, thinking it was a germany only bike (and it is obviously not). I will look into it more on monday, when it opens again (i will phone this time)

My personal choice would be the Hoffman EP but thats because it is a mainly flatland bike and i ride Flatland, but if u want to ride skateparks id go for the WeThePeople Dare Devil

I would go with the we the people but it all depends on what kind of riding your doing and how much your willing to spend but i would go with the wethepeople

Hmm im thinking of flatland now but i want to do some jumps and grinds. not anything big so i guess i should go with a Haro master m6

Id say go for the We The People, I used to have a hoffman EP a few years back, and Im 5'11" and found it way too small for anything but flatland, it was annoying.

Hoffmann's are mad heavy dude. I wouldnt go with that choice. Get a Haro... they are very reliable

the we the people is a pretty sweet looking ride, as is the hoffman...the thing about the EP is that it's SUPER short, as it's a flatland bike, so unless you want a dedicated flatland bike, or are under 5'6", you might want to go with something a little bigger. check out the complete FIT bikes, the frames aren't the same quality as you'd get if you just bought like a series one frame, but they're still pretty good bikes.

i just checked out the WTP dare devil, and it says the seat tube and chainstays are high tensile steel instead of 4130 chromoly. that might be a problem, as having stiff chainstays is pretty key in learning most tricks. weaker tubes will flex more (taking up the energy you're putting into pulling up) and make a less responsive frame. also, high-ten steel isn't as stiff as 4130, and will break if you ride hard. the seat tube being made out of hi-ten isn't a very good idea either. the seatstay/seattube joint is pretty key, as there's a lot of welding going on there, and a lot of heat. the more heat that is put into a frame at a weld, the weaker the tubes are going to be. most frames crack at either the head tube, or the seat tube for this reason.

maybe look at the WTP four seasons complete, pretty much the same components, but with a full 4130 frame. the four seasons frame is really stiff and strong.

most of the lower-end haros are made with hi-ten steel, and the ones that are actually full 4130 have stamped dropouts instead of carved dropouts. and the tubes are thinner than a higher quality bike. in my experience, stamped drops tend to bend easier, even if they're really thick. and thinner tubes, while they may be lighter will dent easier. a friend of mine rode a haro flair for about a year and eventually had to get a new frame because the dropouts were totally thrashed and he had dented the downtube and chainstays from grinding.

Go with the mexican. ITs a nice frame. I ride a Mexican and it works well for street. If you are thinking of ordering a complete I can hook you up with one for cheaper than most places.
