Solid Headset Question

OK, this is going to be a little hard to explain considering im headset ********

have any of you ever had a solid headset? If so, which race goes where (there are 2; one that is a thinner thickness and one which is slightly bigger.)

how mine is set up now (i didnt set it up) it has the bigger race on top and the thinner race is on botttom. With the bigger race on top i THINK its making the coller have about a 2 cm gap betwwen itself and the race. Again, I THINK that the thinner race should be on top making the coller flush with the top race.

i will try and get pictures but i might not be able to.

Thanks a lot ahead of time.

Take it apart and switch it, it should fit together flush. If it dosent work that way then it was ither set up correctly or something is wrong.

Tap it out with a hammer and screwdriver, or old seatpost. I've removed tons of headsets that way and never ruined any of them. You'd have to be a real moron to ruin a headset that way.

Cups are easy, I do it all the time with a hammer/2X4, and races are just a screw driver and hammer. To put them on I use a peice of PVC pipe.
