Primo Powerbites vs. Hollowbites.

I do park, some trails and light street. I'm also a weight *****.

I'm going to school now and I expect answers on which one of those two would be better for me. It's only between those two and possibly 41 thermals.

None, hollowbites crack because of the hollow aluminium, both hollowbites and powerbites feel too chunky and hit your feet when you pedal and 41 thermals are old now. Get some fly's, profiles or wombolts.

Get Flys, they are cheaper than Wombolts and very good. If you want to save even more money, you can't go wrong with Profiles.

Ya, it's between those three cranks.

They're what the shop has, what I can get a deal on and what I can afford.

I ride the powerbites, never had a problem. Sealed BB, decent weight. They're all great cranksets from what i hear, so I guess it just comes down to which you think is the prettiest.

I've heard decent things about both of them, but I've heard some negatives too. Flys, Wombolts, Profiles. In that order.

Ya, well fly's, wombolts or profiles arent going on my bike because I dont want to order them, and I cant afford them.

I'm thinking about just getting the 41 thermals, they're lighter then the hollowbites and same price.

Yeah, out of your options the thermals are the best for sure.

I have hollowbites and the have steel insterts of some sort (i've never really taken a good look at them...) but my pedal bosses don't strip and i've been through 3 sets of pedals with these. Only the older Powerbites (not hollowbites) spin.
