Hey wtp, I hope you are all right, now that you are presumably over the shock of the accident. I just got back from California or I would have chimed in before.
What's the latest? Anything broken? Everyone else all right?

Everybody is fine, just sore. The girl that went to the hospital had a concussion, but I still had it the worst out of everybody.
No X-rays yesterday because the clinics were closed and I didn't feel like waiting 12+hours in the hospital waiting for them to finish doing criticals so I'm going later today. The clinic said it's most likely a fracture somewhere in my arch.

That doesn't sound too bad, then. I'm glad to hear everyone is all right. Shock is a weird thing. Years ago I was driving in the fog, on my way to work. I didn't realise that the fog had made the oil on the road so slick, and I went around a bend just a little too fast for my own good. The car turned over on its side, and I travelled about 20 feet before the car came to a stop, and (fortunately) came back to an upright position. I wasn't hurt at all, just stunned at what had happened. About 10 seconds after the car stopped, another car drove up from behind me. It was my doctor, of all people. Somehow the police arrived, and it was determined that I WAS FIT TO GO TO WORK! So, the police took me into work, but my car got towed into the nearest town.
I still don't remember much of that night. I was very fortunate that someone came along right afterwards (it was a road not much travelled, and I could potentially have been there for hours if something serious had happened). I do remember thinking the next day--why would my doctor not have sent me home? I was obviously in shock, and should have been sent either to hospital or home. My doctor was not much of a doctor, apparently
.
Strangely, there was not a scratch on the car. Yes, I was wearing a seat belt, and have worn one ever since...
Anyway, we expect full reports on the damage when you get your foot checked out.

Damn WTP, I hope you are alright. And I know all about shock and everything and that's really the worst feeling. Feel better man. East Hill, do you always have a story for everything?

I have just seen some of the dumbest responses possible. Riding probably isn't what he's worried about now. Breaking something or getting into something like that is very traumatic. He needs some time to relax and heal up.

I rode when I broke my wrist and hand, when I fell of the quarter pipe and broke some ribs and I tried to ride when I broke my hip.
I was actually on my bike already this morning, I taped a board to my pedal so I have a nice flat even place for my foot, I have it geared down (33-16) and I took it easy just coasting around. I'm going for X-rays soon enough, but the doctor seems to think it's just a fracture.
