Fit will have to changed that 'baned' to 'banned' for that, Mister!

Fit, that sounds exquisitely painful. Usual recommendation would be something with aloe in it.

Yeah, I asked my mom but she does not care. She just told me to deal with it. Mude, don't push me with the face thing, and I didn't wear sunscreen because I didn't think about it and I really didn't know how the weather was going to be. The weatherman lie.

For what it's worth, I always wear a hat outside now. It either keeps the rain out of my face, or the sun out of my face. I have a sister who's already had some bits of cancer removed from her face from being out in the sun too much, so I'm a bit sensitive to that.

Even when it's overcast the UV light can get to your skin, so anytime you're outdoors sunscreen is a good idea.

I always wear a hat, so that's not the issue. I just wasn't supposed to be out that long either, but the games took forever. I could just be a bad umpire and call pretty much everything a strike, but I'm too good for that and make sure to call a fair game.

There is some sunscreen made with micro-milled zinc oxide (so that it doesn't turn you white) that I use--around 50 SPF. It seems to work reasonably well.

Life isn't fair most of the time, so if you call a fair game, you're a good man.

Don't bother, that's less than minimum wage and you can make a lot more doing less. Retail sucks, but you'll make at least $6 an hour in most places, and you can be pretty lazy as long as you look like you're working hard when the bosses are looking
They don't expect the lackeys to be model employees, believe me.

My dad works retail, and he will do anything to keep my away from it. Even if it's just a summer job.

No it's not. I make $35 per game without being certified. A game is usually about an hour and a half. That's approximately $24 an hour. That's a lot more than minimum wage.

The worst tan I got was when I was in rugby. I had a tan from the scrum cap and my knees were tanned because of the socks being pulled up and the shorts being short. plus I had bands around my wrists from my jersey and glove tan.

Not to mention that someone who's a good ump can keep busy during the season, and can keep doing that for years as a side job.

Not a bad deal at all.

Ah, thought the eight hours was per game. I didn't know they were that short.

Haha. How could you ever think a baseball game lasted 8 hours long?

I don't know. I remember when my sister played softball, they were out there all afternoon, so I though it was one long game, but apparently it was a bunch of short ones. Or maybe softball is different.

BMX is pretty much the only sport I care about at all. Basketball is kind of fun, but only to play, not watch.

Softball still wouldn't take all day. Chances are, it was a bunch of games. Doubleheader baseball games are amazing to play... so much fun. Basketball is decently fun to play, but it's so boring to watch. The three good sports to watch are baseball (I'm going to take some heat for this one), football, and hockey.

I used to hate watching baseball, but I have been watching the red sox this season and I guess it's not so bad.
