Anyone here ride Scerbo Bars?

Just curious. I ordered some, wanted to hear opinions/see pix.

that is all.

KinetikBiker 04-27-07 01:04 PM

I like the way they look. Try going into the classic and vintage section and asking if anyone rode the old GT bars they were modeled after.

sprintcarblue 04-27-07 04:03 PM

meh, i am not that concerned. I just didnt know if anyone here rocked them. I used my bike guide (EEEEWWW!) account to lurk some pictures. Somehow they always manage to ruin their bikes by ripping off their seat cover or something weird.

theres a review on my 'site'. www.bmxlab.blogspot.com

eightdip 04-27-07 04:14 PM

Scerbo bars look horrible

Slams all the way

sprintcarblue 04-27-07 04:19 PM

i have slams. BLAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. They dont have enough upsweep, it hurts my jawns.

eightdip 04-27-07 04:22 PM

Get out

wethepeople 04-27-07 04:22 PM

I love my Slams, but after riding them for a while I cannot use anybody else's bars.

eightdip 04-27-07 04:27 PM

Tis true

sprintcarblue 04-27-07 04:31 PM

sprintcarblue 04-27-07 06:03 PM

FitRider 921 04-27-07 08:14 PM

I want Scerbos. They are awesome bars.

mude 04-27-07 09:24 PM

are we talking bout the 4 pc bars?

wethepeople 04-28-07 01:00 AM

yes

I_Suck_At_BMX 04-28-07 05:23 AM

I was going to order a pair, but I dont think I can get them as narrow as my current ones are cut too. Plus I need a new fork before anything.

mude 04-28-07 06:28 AM

whats the big deal about them, i remember not to long ago when i first joined the forum 4pc bars werent such an uncommon thing and more companies then animal made them, except if i recall correctly it was mostly flatlanders that used them, i think theres even a few threads about them. I think its funny that back in those days you were an idiot if you bought 4 pc bars but now its the "in thing"

9th post - even I_Suck ran 4 pc bars

ps. its funny to read posts from when you first joined and wonder about whether its because you were younger and immature or because you were new that you sounded like such an idiot

i ran castillo bars back in the day. i loved how they looked. but unfortunately since they were 6.75 inches tall, and had not nearly enough sweep my wrists started crying. Not to mention they probably weighed as much as most forks do these days.

the bob bars are a good mixture of strength and supposedly feel really good with their sweep.

what do you mean by the "in thing" you mean that animal made another quality product that feels really good to a lot of people? I don't entirely beleive in trends, but maybe I just don't care enough to pay attention to dat snaazz. Honestly, who cares if ****s good.

not like everyone isn't running slams or a bar identical to them.

mude 04-28-07 08:40 AM

im just sayin, 4pc bars are gonna be the new slams, the next ugly trend in bmx

mude 04-28-07 08:40 AM

speaking of which, what do people think of those fly bars?

sprintcarblue 04-28-07 09:21 AM

yeah man, i guess on the east coast they are the new slams. but the only people that have them around here are two of my friends, and they feel real good. sooooooo, we will see where they go. should be interesting. if they are the new slams, i'd laugh because they are really ****ing ugly. slams atleast look good if theyre not uncut.

FitRider 921 04-28-07 10:11 AM

Scerbos have been out forever- I doubt they are going to be the new "Slams". The only reason some people are buying them now is because Edwin switched from his signature bars to Scerbos.

eightdip 04-28-07 12:20 PM

Exactly, they are now the trend. Loads of people round here want them. They just can't afford them

Now he's in like every section of this forum. And he's like a super duper moderator special guy.
