new bmx bike excuse

so i would like to get a bmx bike this summer. I would also like to build it myself. So i have to questions:
1. I have two mountain bikes that break a lot, the parts that break are: rear derailluer and the rear derailluer hanger. So if i use the excuse that a bmx bike won't break as oftenbecause there is no derailluer or hangar and its steel do you think my parents will accept this?
2. Can you recomend websites for bmx parts, preferable ones that sell stuff in usd, i already know dans comp

Yes, that could work. You could also use that excuse to get a better bike for yourself. Try: www.danscomp.com
www.albes.com
www.staff-bmx.com
www.empirebmx.com

All of those sites given are very good sites for all of your BMX needs. As for trail riding, it depends on your size and weight and personal preference.
