Trails
Here in our city we have a huge bike park that our city made us but then we also have a bigger bike park thats back in the woods but about two years ago i was back there and was going to attempt some of these jumps so i got what i thought was enough speed and hit the first one and cased it went over the handle bars and broke my arm in three places. so the following year i didnt ride much at all but this year i wanna get back into trails but im scared. are there any tips or suggestions as i wanna get better and hit bigger jumps with bigger gaps but im just scared of breaking bones again.

Hit smaller jumps first.
Take pictures of the spot.
If you case, pull up more, go faster, or push through the lip and stay lower...
Don't be afraid to ditch your bike if you aren't going to land smooth.

You get over the fear after a while. I know the feeling. I'm still a bit scared.

cwt341--fear is pretty normal. It takes practice to get over it (as if I am one to talk ), but like many things, the more often you do something, the easier it gets, and then it starts being more like fun .

I'm afraid to lean too far back on manuals and flip over on the track. That would suck.

well I've went to the track two days in a row and the first day just got my feel back on a few small jumps and today warmed up and decided to go a bit bigger. well as we were leaving this jump had been bothering me so i was like im just gonna what ever happens happens. i got back get my speed get lined up come of real nice and cant get the front end down and land low on the landing in a manual and straight onto my back i go. I messed my ankle up pretty bad and took a little gash out of my leg.
