Bent wheels
Is there anyway to stop this from happening or are there any wheels that are extremely hard or impossible to bend. I heard about some that if you bend them you can just stick them in the freezer and they will unbend themselves, but dont know how true this is and dont know the name of them.

true them. on second thoughts take them to your bike shop to get trued.
and if all else fails and you are still bending rims and weight is not an issue go buy some stupid triple walled alex huck rims. and if weight is and issue buy ody 7KA's. They are pretty tough rims. and it is not your wheel that is bent it is your rim.

Most stock wheels on bikes are pretty weak and shoddy. If you keep having trouble, invest in an Odyssey wheelset, they are cheap and pretty strong.

Get good spokes and a decent rim and you won't bend it.

The spoke tension is implied in the having good spokes part.

The freezer part is a myth with old mags.

i responded to the 'good spokes' part because i know people that tried to build their own wheels and failed...and then blamed the components they bought...THAT'S why I commented...it's not always good enough to purchase quality parts, you have to know how to use them!
