looking to try some bmx

hey, all of a suden I just wanted to try BMX'ing.I guess after watching my neighbors for a couple years it became interesting to me. I just had some questions and am hoping to build my own beginner bike. Since im new, id like to know some of your opinions. Probly used mostly for street, vert when i find some local places. First off I need a frame. Im 5'11 135 lbs and looking for a light frame but not too expensive because this is just for now and Ill see if I get better at it. I need to know about some rims to.( i know you get what you pay for too) but its just for a begginer. Any advice would be great. thanks
steve

As a beginner, it is best to go for a complete bike then upgrade it as you go along. What is your budget?

DK Six pack, DK Four pack, Fit Flow.

All good completes. The more you pay now, the less you pay later.

well right now i have about 300 bucks but if I set my goal for something Ill save for it. Im not looking to spend id say over 500 or alot less if I can find one. Im not sure how much complete bikes are that you bring it up.

Hows ebay? I see some for around $200-300 used. But id be sure to look everything up about the bike before I make any purchase

Get a DK Six Pack. They are known to be the best bikes for beginners. They are very solid for their price tag. I have a Fit, and wish I didn't.

I would definitely rather have a Flow. The Fit Pro really sucks. The whole bike is falling apart on me.

I will make a list:
-pedals broke in first week of use
-frame has chunks missing from it and is most likely going to crack soon
-rims are quite wobbly (Jalco rims suck)
-handlebars are bent

This is only from about three months of use and I am not that hard on my bike and I only weigh 125 pounds.

No, I'm just going to try to upgrade it a bit. Eventually, it will have all new parts. I have to start riding again.
So far, the parts on my 'to buy' list are:

-Animal Scerbo LT bars
-Odyssey Twisted Plastic Pedals
-Fly Ruben tire front (20.15)
-Animal ASM tire back (20x1.95)
-Macneil Seatpost
-Macneil Capital seat
-Fly Nylon Barends
-Animal Edwin grips (in purple )

I'm hoping to get some slams, profiles, new grips, and a GLH tire for the front before the end of the summer.
