1976 Redline Square Back

Hi all,

Just found out about your site when I started researching my childhood bicycle. I got the bike 25yrs ago when I was 11 it has not been ridden for about 20yrs now. I have an 11yr old son now and we thought it might be fun to restore the bike. We did stip it down to the frame this weekend. Now when I say restore I don't mean back to original but more just back to where it can be ridden. I would like to use mostly Redline parts. So I was just wondering if anyone had ideas of the value of this frame, thoughts about still using it as a daily rider for my son, and just any background on this frame would be great.

Thanks,
John

You got yourself quite the bike there! I'd suggest you stop by vintagebmx.com to find out more info.
Most the people here are younger BMXers, with a few of us old guys mixed in. Over at vintage, you'll find a ton of guys that know more about the early BMX bikes than the people who made them!

Thanks for the info, I went to the site and tried to sign up but they want a $25.00 deposit to be able to post comments, and I just do not feel comfortable giving them that so I don't think that site will help to much.

It's a really cool sight. Lurk around & even still you'll probably be able to dig up some info. The money they get is used to run the site & throw the yearly gathering in Rockford, Ill. It's a great time.
Still, I say just lurk around there all you want.

I have subscribed to this website and posted pictures of the frame, they say it takes a few days for it to get approved so I have not got anywhere on that site yet either. But I am hopeful that once it is posted they I will get some replies.

Thanks for the suggestion

I will do that tonight when I get off work. I meant to do it last night but my son had a baseball game.
