Help Me Pick a 24"Cruiser

I'm in the market for a 24" bmx. It will be ridden pretty much at the track only. Just for fun. My son races so I want something to ride with him for practice days. I started looking at the older companies Redline, Haro and Kuwahara just because I knew them. But I have read some things that make me wonder. I'm 5'10" and 220 lbs. So i need something pretty strong. My budget is $300 to $400. Right now I'm leaning to a Redline Pro Cruiser. Any advise would be great.

The general lee is on my list. It looks pretty tough. I don't know much about DK.

The 24" DK Fury($255) would also be a good choice, it's more of a race bike compared to the General Lee. Also the MCS Magnum 24"($350), they make very good entry-level race bikes. Your best choice would probably be an Intense Pro XL 24"($400). Intense probably makes some of the best racing bikes out right now. And the Redline Proline Pro Cruiser is also a good choice.

In Order:
Intense Pro XL 24"
Redline Proline Pro Cruiser
MCS Magnum 24"
DK Fury 24"

You should really get into racing and race those older guys. At Quaker State Nationals they had a 56 and over class.

Thanks for your advise. I just ordered the Intense Pro Cruiser. That was the third time some one has recommended that bike. So I figured I would try it. My local shop ordered it for me for $379.

Wholy crap, you acted on that quick. But anyway, very good choice. I hope you actually get into racing, it is soooo much fun. Good luck with your new bike and take pictures of it when you get it.
