Do mini bars have a different O.D. than regular BMX bars?

I just picked up a set of NOS powerlite mini bars for my SS cyclocross city beater. My question is will any BMX stem work, as long as it is 1" quill since that is what my fork setup is, or do I specifically need a mini stem as well?

To my knowledge, any BMX shafted stem should work.
