Help with how much my bikes worth
http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k7...rt/Picture.jpg
The frame is a Hoffman Kagy, haro unsealed double wall front rim, s&m pitchfork, pig headset, s&m redneck, s&m AD bars, profile 3 piece cranks, profile sprocket, oddessy sealed double wall rear rim, I think its a 4 bearing hub not sure because its been so long since I was into bikes. |
That's a pretty good bike, but I have no idea how much it'd be worth.
Thats a decent bike but i dont no what its worth. just start it high and work your way down. where are you planning on selling it at
Well probably put it in the recycler online and the recycler magazine, I dont have an ebay account so cant sell it that way.
where at are you located
Southern California, glendale-la crescenta area
yuo could put it on craigslist and maybe somene will grab it up
I was thinking 250, does anyone think thats too high, low, or a good starting point.
i would say high but put it on as 250 and see what happens
Yea I would take 200 no prob maybe 175 but thought Id start at 250
I doubt you will get more than $150 for it unfortunately. The only part that is not super heavy/outdated is the cranks. You could probably pawn it off at the local jumps or park easy enough to somebody looking for a cheap starter.
i was going to say try to get 100 for it but i wasnt sure on how decent some of the part were as i hadnt heard of most of them
part it on bikeguide
I browsed through some ads on the internet and there are some P.O.S. bikes listed for 175 and some newer used bikes listed for 500-600 so I though 200 was good, thanks for the help though

not to be a jerk, but!
you have OG pitchforks which weigh almost 5lbs. the wheel set is a 48, and isn't that great. the seat and seat post you probably couldn't give away. AD bars are the WORST bars ever made, they will destroy anyones wrists. Redneck stems are ridiculously heavy. I haven't seen anyone legitimately run one in years. The frame is a hoffman kagy. The frame was never popular like a Taj or Deebo. Not to mention its probably 8+lbs Haro platforms are heavy, unsealed junk. Pig headsets die after a year of solid use. the chain wheel could serve as a dinner platter. You may be able to pawn the hookworm to some recumbent guy. The dirtmonster looks okay. The cranks are worth a $75 spot to somebody. Especially being chrome. Seriously, my friend just sold a fit homan frame and a pretty new wtp pheonix with a bunch of misc parts for 125. I'd start out asking 150 obo. |
Most of your statements are about how heavy it is and theres no doubt the bike weights alot, I mainly rode dirt and was never concerned about trying to build a light bike. I had not trouble throwing it around. I agree the front rim is crap but it came free from a stolen bike and the rim befor that was a tripple wall which was too heavy so I put the haro on, the sprocket is also crap two but I wanted a 39 tooth instead of the 44 so I bought a cheap one and I have other 44 tooth sprocketas that are way better, I just dont like the gear ratio with them. Most of the parts on the bike were bought about 4-5 years ago thats why you look at it and say its all junk
i would agree with him thought that is a dated bike..start it at 150.00
God no, that bike is pretty sick, i'd run it. I'd say at least $200. Don't listen to all these weight *****s
I know the parts are old, outdated and heavy. Some people still want that, and I am sure some kid looking to get into bmx cheap will be stoked. I'm just sayin' I have 90% of those parts sitting around that I can't even give away to people. Granted, it is complete/rideable is always a plus.
I still say $150 should make some kid stoked he didn't have to waste his money on a mongoose. |
start it at what you want but i would say 150.00 or to make both sides happy start at 175.00..:-P
I'd start out at 200 obo then if you have to work down to 150.
Ok, to get something for it is better than nothing.
If the cranks are 175mm PM me.
