how much do these bikes weight?
what is the usually weight for a bmx bike? is the frame heavy?
Around 25-30 pounds. Most bikes weigh about 28 pounds.
yea most of them weigh about 28+lbs
no, the frame, fork and cranks
like no weigh comes from rims and tires.
a wheel set will probably be about equal to your frame and forks. It's pretty much a package thing. Anything under 30 is reasonable.
yea i personaly wouldnt ride anything over about 30. but if you get something to light it can be tricky. like i can ride my friends redline which only weigh like 17lbs because its to light
yeah, but it probably has really funky racing geometry and is set up all weird. I'd be more than happy to ride a 20ish lb bike.

For the past 30 years dang near every goofball has claimed to owned a Redline that weighed 18 lbs.
And it's always BS. -Bill |
seems like most entry bikes are 30 - 33 lbs.
Nowadays it's around 23-32 it seems.
Either way, I still wouldn't mind a 20lb bike. To bad I'm still looking at ****ing $600 to get a bike frame to Crapida. |
