Going Custom.

So I'm in the market for a new bike. Got a price range of about $1400 [still workin on that]. I figured custom's the way to go. Care to critique my choosings?

Frame: S&M L.A.F
Headset: Kink Integrated [I changed this due to my stupidity]
Forks: Sunday Night 2
Bars: Slams
Grips: ODI
Stem: Redneck XLT
Tire: Front - Ruben. Back - Odyssey Dirt Path
Rear Rim: Kinetik's same setup, profile mini ss, 7k-A
Pedals: Odyssey Jim C's
Crank: Profile Deluxe
Bottom Bracket: Mutiny mid BB
Chain Wheel: Tree Lite
Chain: Shadow Interlock
Seat: Macneil Pivotal
Post: Macneil Pivital
Seat Post Clamp: S&M XLT
Brakes: Odyssey EVO 2, linear cable, small monolever

Things I forget, help a brotha out. I probably could have searched for all of these, but this seemed to be a little easier. In this case, the more flamming..the better. Any suggestions?

you cant run a solid headset on an intergrated frame. youll need an intergrated headset.

I'd get a ruben for the front, and an odyssey plyth on the back. But, that is just me.

I actually had the Dirt Path P-Lyte in mind, but forgot to add the "P-Lyte".

Hmm I'll see what happens. Any idea on the price it'll be and when it's suppose to be "unleashed"?

It sounds like a really nice bike Federal. I want the pivotal setup. And aren't the Linear Slic cables better?

Price isn't much of an issue. I'll have to read some reviews on the L.T.F to see what other's think about it. I pretty much got my mind set for an S&M though, not sure why.

Your bike is going to be a winner if you get all those mentioned parts. Make sure to get the Spline drive version of the Tree sprocket since you are getting Profile cranks.

The LTF won't be out for a few months. They're still testing it. As for tires, Just get 2 rubens, the best

I like the parts, although I wouldn't go with a frame that light. If I were you, I would definitely not wait for the LTF which is too light and way too low-slung.

L.A.F's have lifetime warrenty's right? I also forgot to put a front rim up there. I'll probably just go with a G-Sport hub and some cheap rim, maybe a Rhynolite XL. How's the G-Sport RibCage?

G-Sport Ribcages are fantastic rims. You just have to keep your tire pressure up.

Rhynolites are great rims. And fairly cheap. Get that over a G-Sport if you are on a budget.

For some reason i don't like the G-Sport rims, i'd prefer an Odyssey of some sorts.

fly cranks.
proper front hub
i dont like shadow chains. they are hard to break and put back together, and theyre expensive. but if you have a habit of breaking chains.

i really do suggest the cranks and hub. i run both of them and they are really really good.

They LOOK horrible, like the name, torrid/horrid. The shadow chains suck, after about 6 months-1 year they just fall apart everytime you hit them

I was thinking about the Fly cranks, but they only come with spanish BB, or I missed something. As for the front hub, better than the G-Sport Marmoset?

Is it just Shadow chains? Or half link's in general?

The fly cranks don't come with any BB. You buy it seperate. And KMC's halflink chain is good. Just get a 710 SL though.
